Converting GoPro HD MP4 to ProRes for Final Cut Pro 7/X

Tutorial: How to convert GoPro HD footage for editing in FCP

Step 1: Install and launch the GoPro HD Video converter on your Mac and load source GoPro MP4 clips to it. You can import MP4 clips to the program through "Add Video" button or "Add from folder" button.



Step 2: Click the format bar, and move mouse cursor to "Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov)" as output format.
